¡°Reverte¡±Oxo-Biodegradable masterbatches consist of a microcellulose powder, together with a harmless metal ion, compounded into a Polyethylene carrier resin.
The prodegradant effect is delayed and controlled through the inclusion of a novel activation package designed to offer excellent control of the polymer breakdown.
These masterbatches are added during the manufacturing of the plastic article to produce a Biodegradable end product. Reverte masterbatche have been designed to stop any premature degradation taking place before the plastic article is discarded into the waste stream. When the useful life of the plastic article is over and it is thrown into rubbish tip, landfill or green waste stream, the article will break up, microfragment and finally allow the micro-organism in the natural environment to complete the process of biodegradation.
The end products are water, Carbon dioxide and biomass, all of which are harmless to the environment.
¡°Reverte¡± BD Additive Masterbatches have full ¡°EC Directive 2002/72/EC¡±approval by RAPRA UK.The films containing Reverte additives have also passed SGS tests regarding the ***ermination of Cobalt and Manganese Content and in accordance with the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC and its amendment directives.
